Our story

In 2022 I bought home my fur baby called BabaGanoush. He is a beautiful, energetic & affectionate Afghan hound. When I took him for his first grooming and second and a few after, I was quite disappointed that I couldn’t observe or see him getting groomed. I couldn’t even capture the moment of his first grooming.

The idea stuck in my mind from then onward and I kept looking and searching and came up empty-handed. Hence I started to think, how about a place where everything I want for my boy can be shared with other furry friends and their parents.

Slowly I started to work on the idea and decided to open a space where all of those ideas can come to life.

A bakery with freshly baked pastries, good cup of coffee, a doggy day care with plenty of space for the furry friends to run around and be happy, and a great grooming salon to make those furry buddies look & feel pampered.

That’s when #BabaG’s came to life, named after my beloved boy BabaGanoush !!

Grooming Salon FAQs

Can I stay while my dog gets groomed?

YES! We are specially set up so you can see your dog getting pampered in our chic grooming area, but your dog cant see you so there is no chance if it disrupting their grooming session.

Is the cafe open to everyone?

Yes of course! everyone is welcome! Dog parents, future dog parents, Dogless people, Dog crazy people, people crazy people, EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

What hours do you operate?

Cafe 6am -6pm weekdays, 7am - 4pm Weekends

Grooming 830am- 4.30pm

Day Care 6am - 6pm

What grooming services do you offer?

We offer a range of grooming services from full grooming packages to bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat styling. You can view all the services on the grooming page just click here

How often should my dog be groomed?

It depends on their breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Generally, most dogs benefit from a grooming session every 4-8 weeks.

Do you use pet-safe products?

Yes! We use only high-quality, pet-safe products suitable for different skin types and coat textures.

How long does a grooming session take?

It varies by service and dog size, but typically, grooming sessions last between 1.5 to 3 hours.

What if my dog is nervous or has special needs?

We’re experienced in handling nervous or special-needs dogs and use gentle techniques to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.

Can I stay and watch my dog being groomed?

We have a viewing area in the café where you can watch, but we’ve found that dogs are more relaxed when their owners aren’t right next to them during grooming.

What breeds require regular grooming?

Breeds with longer or thicker coats, such as Poodles, Afghan Hounds, and Doodles, require more frequent grooming to avoid matting and maintain a healthy coat.

Will my dog be put in a crate?

Only if absolutely necessary for their safety and comfort. We strive to provide a relaxed and open environment for each dog.

What should I do to prepare my dog for their grooming appointment?

Bring them in relaxed, fed, and with a chance to relieve themselves. Regular brushing between appointments also helps maintain coat health.

Do you groom cats as well?

Our salon is focused on dogs, but if you're interested, feel free to ask! We may offer select services for cats.

Is the cafe open to everyone?

Are all dogs welcome in the café?

Absolutely! As long as they’re friendly and well-behaved, dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome.

Is there a limit to how many dogs I can bring?

Generally, we recommend bringing no more than two dogs per person to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.

Do you have treats for dogs?

Yes! We offer a special doggy menu with healthy, delicious treats for your furry friends.

Are dogs allowed inside, or just in outdoor seating?

Our café has indoor seating and designated areas for dogs so you can enjoy your coffee and snacks in comfort.

Can I leave my dog in the café while I run an errand?

For everyone’s safety and comfort, we ask that dogs remain supervised by their owners at all times. Unless they are booked into the day care centre, then we can watch them while you run your errands.

Is your café menu dog-friendly?

While our human food is delicious, it’s meant for humans! We have a separate dog-friendly menu with treats designed especially for them.

What if my dog isn’t comfortable around other dogs?

We recommend visiting during off-peak hours for a quieter experience, or utilising our doggy day care for a separate play area.

Do you offer water bowls for dogs?

Yes, fresh water bowls are available throughout the café to keep your dog hydrated.

Are there areas where dogs must stay on a leash?

Yes, for safety, we require all dogs to remain on a leash within the café area.

Can I book a private event with my dog?

Absolutely! We offer private bookings for birthdays, puppy showers, or any special event with your four-legged friends.

Doggy Day Care

What’s the process for signing my dog up for day care?

You’ll need to fill out a quick form and provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations. We also require a temperament assessment for new clients so once you fill out the registration form you will be taken to a calendar to book your complimentary 'Meet & Greet' session.

What vaccinations are required?

Dogs must have current vaccinations for C2 before joining day care.

Do you separate dogs by size or temperament?

Yes, dogs are grouped by size, energy level, and temperament to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

How often do the dogs get to go outside?

If you require the extra service we provide several outdoor sessions throughout the day, where one of our staff will take your dog over the the park across the road, with plenty of time for fresh air and exercise.

Are staff members trained in pet first aid?

Yes, our team is trained in pet first aid and always keeps a close eye on the dogs in our care.

Do you offer half-day options?

Yes, we offer both half-day and full-day day care options to suit your schedule. We also have a 'Quick Play' option where once your dog is a registered guest you can book in for a min of 2 hours.

What if my dog needs medication during the day?

Our staff can administer medication as directed. Please provide instructions and medications in their original containers.

Can I check on my dog during the day?

Yes! You can view the day care from our café, or ask our staff for an update.

Do you take puppies in day care?

We accept puppies over 4 months of age who have had their full course of vaccinations.

What should I bring for my dog’s day care visit?

Just bring their collar and leash. If they have special dietary needs, you can also bring their food and treats.
